Greetings! My name is Mike Cheney, and I am the Youth Director here at Evangel. We love youth and are committed to them heart and soul. We have a great program here for teens and we do have a lot of fun at youth group and at all of our youth events. However, everything is designed with the purpose in mind of helping teens in the growth of their relationship with Jesus Christ.
The safety of our youth is of primary concern to us. Each of our adult leaders (including myself) have had background screenings done and are carefully chosen according to standards we have come up with for what a godly leader should be. It is our rule that no adult leader is allowed to be alone with a youth. Even if a youth needs to talk to someone, there will always be at least two adults present.
It is our goal to warmly welcome any new incoming youth and make sure that all youth know that they are loved and cared for, and that we are here for them any time they need us to be.
