Notice the progression of that verse.  The word worship comes before the word serve.  Thus, at Evangel, we feel our worship of God fulfills our primary purpose as His people.  We are to worship God – to love Him … and to be loved by Him.

Evangel offers a variety of worship styles to meet the need for a diverse appetite for worship.  Included in Evangel’s worship “offerings” is a Contemporary Worship service presented at 11:00 (September – May) and at 10:00 (June-August).  The Contemporary Worship experience at Evangel includes dynamic and interactive worship elements including:

• The “Raise the Praise” worship singers (praise & worship style music)
• The “Good News Band” (piano, electric keyboard, guitars, drums, bass)

The Evangel “Raise the Praise” singers provide vocal musical leadership for the “Good News” Contemporary Worship service at Evangel.  The “Raise the Praise” Singers meet weekly on Wednesday evenings for planning and rehearsal.  The planning runs from 5:45-6:30 p.m. and rehearsal from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Praise Singers are invited to attend either or both sessions.  The “Raise the Praise” singers rehearse with the Good News Band and prepare for 3-5 praise and worship songs weekly.  It is with great joy and enthusiasm that the teams gather to sing and play music that will honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  From “Above All” to “How Great Is Our God” to “Strong Tower” … the Raise the Praise Singers share music from the heart for worship.  This team enthusiastically welcomes new vocalists to audition for the team.  Join us!
